just reading the geting to Know you thred and am a bit confused i thought Terri was MR.Spice and Mrs.Spice child. also if not u to better start working we need someone to countue the Argeneau line when lynsay sadley cant do it any more

Puppylover - I'll clear up the confusion. Terri - or Tori the house elf as she prefers to be known, is mrs spice's assistant. She's not really an elf at all, but is, if fact, half woman - half bumble bee.

We found her slumped in the garden last year after she had crashed into one of the windows trying to engage in a fight with her own reflection. We nursed her back to health by feeding her a mixture of lemon juice and honey through a straw and once she was back to full health we tried to return her into the wild. Sadly, the accident had damaged her long term memory and she didn't know what to do or where to go and she simply ran in circles around the garden making a confused buzzing sound.

We realised that she would be unlikely to survive on her own in this state and so took the decision to keep her as a semi-domesticated house pet. So far it seems to be working out - Every few weeks, or so, I have to clear out the honeycombs she builds in the basement and she does tend to shed rather a lot of black and yellow fur all over the furniture but, other than that, she is no trouble at all.

PL...i have a feeling we wont have to worry aout Lynsay not giving us anymore Argenaeu books....They only talk with her, and plus SHE has a long, long,long time before that happens!!

Ahh...Jill, once a house-elf always a house-elf...it would be too cruel to retrain her for the wild now! She has made a home in the basement for her honeycomb...and we rely on our Tori's help so that the Lder gets to write and write and write... for our to be content!

Cool you're an Evanescence fan! Most played songs on my Ipod. Used to go see them at Slick Willie's (pool hall) on the weekends when they played back home (Little Rock, AR), before they became famous.

Mr. Spice, did you see 60 Minutes when they did the show on all of the bees becoming lost? There are companies that bring bees around to various fields for pollinating the crops but they keep losing them! Something has happened to disrupt their homing mechanism. They are pretty sure it has something to do with pesticides. Here's a clip of part of the show:

We had some bumblebees make a nest right under our foundation bushes last summer and I had to warn the kids to be careful because they play under there a lot. However, I didn't want to destroy the nest because I grow a lot of plants and I need bees, butterflies, etc. to have a better garden. It would be a real shame if this problem continues.

My first thought after watching the show on 60 Minutes was wondering where the bees eventually ended up. Can you imagine going outside one day and there is a huge swarm of bees buzzing around in your backyard?

Okay, it's time for me to get an Evanescense(sp?)CD, because it seems they are popular around here, and maybe it's time for me to update and hear some recent music!

Oh, and I don't really bellydance even though it would be fun...although I did buy a kit with a video and the zils (the little cymbals)...as it is supposed to be very good exercise.

The only classes are an hour away at a yoga school, but the school is not in a very good part of town...especially after dark. So...haven't learned yet!
