New Vampire show this fall on CBS

The name of the show is Moonlight and if you go to CBS's website you can look under fall previews and see a clip of it. It actually looks pretty interesting.

I'm not sure what abilities the vampires will have beyond moving superfast (which is demonstrated in the clip) and he (the main character is a private investigator played by Alex O'Loughlin who is very hot ) seems to get some images from a crime scene (little girl disappears from her bed). They show his fridge stocked with blood vials and he uses a syringe to shoot up with. It is mentioned that the vampires have to find a reason or a cause to give them something to live for. There is a love interest in the cast, a policewoman maybe, it's hard to tell from the clip what her job is.

Go and see the clip and tell me what you think. Hopefully the series takes off. It would be something to watch while waiting for the rest of Lynsay's books to be published.

While I am looking forward to this show I am unhappy that it took the place of Close To Home. I loved watching that show.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

Ummmm....There's a channel called CBS? LOL That may give me a reason to watch network TV other than Crossing Jordan!

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I thought I'd try to add a link to the preview for the show. I've never tried this before so if it doesn't work, I apolgize!

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

Thank you for pointing this out, I checked ot out and it sounds good. It has been a while since I last saw a good vampire show! Now I have to the tivo remote so that I can tivo it.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I watched it Friday after Ghost Whisperer. I like the show. He is a private detective fighting evil. He keeps on running into this journalist ...she doesn't remember but he rescued her, when she was a child, from the evil woman who turned him. He rescues her again and even though she was drugged she saw him get rid of the guy that tried to kill her...her memory started clicking. Anyways I think the preview for next week shows him biting her neck...it went by so fast I wasn't sure what I saw. I can't wait for friday:)

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I watched this as well and, though I liked it, it felt too much like a script being read. But I'm sure they'll get the feel of it quickly. I didn't like the casting on the 400-yr-old vamp, though. Cute guy but he didn't seem to fit the part well.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I liked the show and I agree with whoever said that the casting of the 400-year old friend could have been better. I read that they recast the role of the reporter after the pilot. Not sure why. I like the chemistry between the two leads so maybe there was a lack of it with the former actress. I hope the show does well enough not to get cancelled.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I have enjoyed this new show. The plot idea is a good, but you can tell they have a smaller budget. Some of the background scenes are cheesy. The older blonde vampire, doesn't fit a typical bad boy vamp, but he has some great lines.
The male star is very good looking and his female co-star played in "Underworld" as a vamp.
I will definitely keep watching it.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I've been watching this show since it started in the fall.

I don't like Beth, the love interest. Not really sure why though.

And I do like the casting for Joseph, the 400 year old vamp. He looks so young but is so cynical and there's just something intense about his gaze. The last new episode I saw had some background for Joseph and I think it explained a lot.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I noticed that Lynsay never posted again whether she saw the show and what her opinion was. Well Lynsay, what did you think? We all know that it would have been better if it was based on your books of course *grin* but other than that... Or have you been so busy writing that you never found the time to watch it? If that is the case, by all means, keep writing! I already bought the latest one about Victor and am really looking forward to the next one about Thomas.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I just watched the first episode on cbs.com. At first I thought ...OK. But after a while I was hooked. I tryed to watch the next one but it kept messing up. I E-email the and hope they fix the problem, because I want to SEE IT. I also wish that I was off on Friday night to just watch it at home but I'm not so I guess I'll have to watch it online.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I like the show, but your right about the girl who plays Beth. (there is something off...like she dosn't fit in with the rest of the cast!)
As far as the Vamps. they are fast, strong and have really good hearing.

Joseph, thats the friend of Micks, RIGHT? I think he is almost better looking that the main star. something about his eyes. They are intense when he stares.

I do wish that him and Beth would get on with it already. They talk, they like each other, they kiss, then they get mad at each other, and inevidably something brings them back together. And so on and so on......Don't get me wrong, I like the show, If I can't see it on Fri. nite. I watch it online as well. Its just the same thing over and over again.

Not to sound mean, I just don't know how else to put this..... but, I am glad that her boyfriend the DA is gone...he was really the annoying clingy boyfriend. evey girl thinks she wants at first, but then can't get ride of!

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

I do agree that Beth and Mick should get together. I knew that the DA was not long for that world the way things were going. Beth should not have asked Mick to turn him thou. Glad he did not.

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

Hi everyone! I am a fan of Lynsay's books(although I have yet to read one of her Argeneau series just her historicals but I am looking for them) as well a fan of the t.v. show Moonlight. I look forward to friday nights and watching Moonlight. I agree that it was time for the DA to go, I just can't see Mick and Beth getting together yet even with him gone, it just doesn't make sense I mean would you like Beth if she could just get over his death and move on to Mick so fast?

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

Hi, Jodi, and WELCOME to the forum!!

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

JODI....
I know what you mean, but the I have a feeling, and this is my own opinion
To be human, she wont just get over him, but to be on the show..you know her and Mick are going to get thrown back together somehow. ITS JUST HOW TV WORKS!!!
If I was writting it....I would throw a total curveball, just to annoy people**ITS MY EVIL SIDE COMMINGOUT*** and have her hook up with the other Vamp.Joseph, he has in crdible eyes. It would so take the show in another dirction....

Re: New Vampire show this fall on CBS

Did anyone watch Moonlight tonight it was really good, I don`t want to say what happened if no one has seen it yet. As for Joseph I have a hard time with his character because I had seen him before on another show and didn`t really like him.
