Highland Vampires and other thoughts

It's my firt post. Hello fellow Sands fans!

I love the highland vampire books you write along with Hannah.I hate waiting till September to read this new one. (I'm sure I'm not alone. lol)

I have all her Historicals. There's a character in The Chase. The one that pretends to be a nun and one of the men likes her. Sorry I have to go look at the book to remember his name but I think hers was Lady Helen...Anyway, They need a book! What do you all think?

Re: Highland Vampires and other thoughts

Hi Bethie and welcome!

I knowwwww. Waiting sucks. I am the least patient person I know.

As for Rolfe and Helen. I did plan to write their story, but that has had to be put on hold now that my historicals have moved to Avon. I can't write any characters from Dorchester books for Avon. Dorchester has the rights. But, maybe some day in the future I can do it. However, with Avon at least there will be two a year instead of one every 11 r 12 months like at Dorch. That's good, at least I think so. LOL.

Right now I'm writing the first of the three historicals for Avon. It's a Scottish medieval about the eldest of three sisters and will be followed by stories of the younger two sisters. At least thats the plan right now, but sometimes the characters don't cooperate as happened with The Chase and Rolfe's story which is why they didn't follow directly on The Deed and The Key. If the characters don't cooperate, the story falls flat and I drop it and start another, leaving the first story for later. I figure it's better to write a good story than to force a bad one. Shrug.

Hi,
Those 3 books you talked about sound good. I like reading books with related characters. I'll watch for them when you get them finished.

To bad about not being able to write about those characters with avon.

Re: Highland Vampires and other thoughts

Yay, I'm not the only one that wants stories from related characters in your historicals. Move over Dorchester, and give Lynsay her rights to write any of her characters anywhere she wants! I really need her to be able to tell the story of Lord Robert Mullins from The Reluctant Reformer. Dorchester, you're holding my reading fun hostage. Oh, I know it's not just Dorchester...all the publishers do it.

Seriously, the new medievals for Avon sound like my kind of trilogy. I always like the three sisters thing...maybe cause I grew up in a family of three sisters. I think I just like related books. It's like having a never-ending story.
