YEY!!! It's on it's way.

I ordered "The Brat" from Barnes and Noble and they say it will be shipped tomorrow..wasn't that nice of them to send it to me a little early?...:)

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

LOL. That's actually quite cool since I only got my copies TODAY. Sheesh. You'd think I'd get them a little sooner than everyone else wouldn't you? Ah well. Hope you like it Jacquie!

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

I just finished reading "The Brat"...I LOVED it

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way. "spoiler"?

Finished it yesterday. I loved it. It is such a great read, and I enjoyed it. I have read afew books lately(not Lynsay's) and I read them but not really enjoyed them. There is one part in the book I LOVED, I actually memorized the page so I can write it out to show how much I love the line...hope you don't mind...

"Well...now everyone knows how well endowed my husband truly is. Is that not nice?"

I think I laughed the whole night at that part. The B.F thought I was alittle crazy brusting out in laughter every once in awhile for the whole night.

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

Thanks Janette and Tiarra, glad you guys liked it.

Tiarra I laughed when I read the line. I'd forgotten all about that scene until I read your quote. Weird huh? How can I write these things and then forget them? Sheesh. But I find that all the time. Too many stories in my head I guess.

Glad you enjoyed it

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

LOL...When my husband hears me chuckling while reading he says you must be reading a book by that Sands author:)

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

Well its certainly better than being associated with crying, lol. I had an aunt who was a big fan of a writer known for tear jerkers. I used to stop in for tea on the way home from high school and often would find her nose in a book, weeping. She was forever trying to get me to read the bloody things telling me how wonderful they were. Finally I read one, but it was just too horribly sad for me. Some woman marries a horribly abusive man, finally escapes him and marries the love of her life, they're in an accident leaving the church and he dies and she's wheel chair bound and left watching her mare she used to love to ride and remembering the sweet love she lost.

GAD!!!!!!!!

I took the book back and said, gees louise woman!! There's enough in real life to cry about, why on earth would I want to weep for fictional miseries!! I'm not a big fan of sob stuff. I suppose the one benefit is that stories like that make absolutely EVERYONE'S or nearly everyone's, life look good in comparison, but geeeeeeeeeeees.

Nope, I'm happier being associated with laughter. Life can be tough, but it has it's moments and, in my humble opinion, those moments are the ones that should be celebrated, not the miseries in between.

Lynsay, whose getting off before she gets all philosphical on you

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

LOL..I don't mind a big cry(My Mother always said a good cry makes you feel better..and it does :)) in a book.....but it also better make me happy..and the main thing is there has to be a happy ending.
I love the humor in all of your books Lynsay...but I must say I laughed the loudest when reading "Always" and he was trying to consummate the marriage and she keeps on putting her rear in the air and the King is banging on the door...God that was just to funny...I felt like I was sitting in a corner watching a comedy :)

Re: YEY!!! It's on it's way.

I know what you mean if I read sad book I am sad, same with happy. So I just read happy stuff now...lol. I read a book my friend raved about, it was a thriller...didn't know...I had nightmares for a week. She thought it was so funny. And even being older I still cannot read anything like that, I still have nightmares. I blame it on my mom...lol... she never let us watch Chucky, or nightmare on Elm Street, and now I am paying for it...lol.
