Oh my gosh, poor Armand. Sigh. The man has the worst luck with women, at least wives. He's gone through three of them already, though not all three were lifemates.

Ah well, I'm hoping he finds a new lifemate and sheds this lousy luck, but who knows. It would kind of be like cursing the lifemate since the last three didn't last long.

Hmmm...interesting. For some reason, I thought all of Armand's wives had been lifemates, and that is how I listed them on the name meanings thread.

But, I don't know which was a true lifemate and which were just wives.

You know Wren, I have been thinking on that one for sometime. I thought that Jean Louise's mom had to be human and was not turned. Although Lynsay stated that it was very hard for a human to get pregnant by an immortal (I think it was during the condum quest in SWV - Lucern had touched on it - no pun intended). But what if she did, and died during child birth with JL. Which I thought in VAF is how Thomas said she died, giving birth to JL. That would explain how she died (seeing as she didn't have the nanos to repair or ease the birth). Could have been something similar to JC and Marguerite or when Jackie was with Cassius.

I have to look up when I get home this evening everything I had written down about the possibilities of Armand having 3 lifemates or wives. I should have posted this a while back, but wanted to see who Lynsay was working on next, before we started this conversation and lost it in the thread somewhere.

I read this book where this woman was a complete recluse because of her pyrokinetic powers that killed her abusive husband and completly burnt down the house, she fled to this isolated retreat. And was dragged out into the real world after this man had been astral-projecting into her living room asking her for help as she was the only person he seemed to be able to reach.

Her sister's son vanished one night later so she went out to find the man..

Maybe that's the sort of format that Armand's story will go with.. he's a recluse but maybe something dire happens that only he can fix!

Hmmm...that is a good theory. Because it is going to take something to bring big Armand out...and obviously, he wouldn't come out and be an enforcer the way Lucien made Victor do after he lost his lifemate.

Interesting...but don't know when Armand might decide to talk to Lynsay...unless his little girl, Jeanne Louise, got in trouble or hurt and he was forced to open up!

I think that Armand has been watching over his children from the begining. I bet Marguerite has kept him informed of their every movement. And bet behind the scenes he knows everything.

I am assuming that Leigh and Lucian will be married before Victor and Elvi, so let's say the Armand makes a guest appearance. And then he sees his son Thomas with Inez. And then he realizes the Thomas has found his lifemate.

I think so, because in TAV they were like add one more couple to the list or something like that about the wedding haha. A triple wedding lol what a way to get married.

I don't think the weddings will bring Armand out of hiding...especially as he is sad and bitter about the loss of his wives/lifemate. Even if it is his brothers getting married...that may just make it harder for him.

Also, we don't know where he is, or how quickly he gets the information from the family (he could ignore mail, computers, or phone calls.) He has been in seclusion (Jeanne Louise is 92yo in AQB) a long time, short for an immortal I know, but he doesn't want to be around anyone.

I think something dangerous or threatening to his family is going to have to happen to shake Armand out of hiding. I also don't know if he is even talking to Lynsay, or just hanging around watching the others stories being told while he in hides.

I am not sure. It would make sense for Sam to be immortal if she was a fellow enforcer. However if she is someone Mortimer just met or even saves in the course of his enforcer duties, then maybe she should be mortal for good story line. Just a thought.

I have a very different approach.
Love the idea of either Victor/Elvi or Lucian/ Leigh wedding (J4....NOTICE I PUT VICTOR FIRST!! WHERE HE SHOULD BE! )
but I have a strange feeling that not only Lucian but Victor knows how to find him, I have a strange feeling that something really really bad is going to happen to bring him out of hiding!!
I know Thomas is his son, but he did drop him and his sister off with Marguerite and then just leave, i don't think him being married will bring him back, just maybe a letter!
I think there is going to be a segway to the enforcer books with him....someone they have been after for a long time and who we probably haven't met yet will become a threat to our beloved Arganeau/Notte clan.
HHHMMM! or he might be in hiding as part of a plan remember the brothers were aware of what happened to JC, maybe something else went with that..(not that Armand was directly linked, but he might have known and stayed in hiding to not get invovled)
