Hi Lynsay, I have a question: For your next book tour, are you going to come by the Bay Area (hopefully San Jose)? Or do you know what cities you are going too?
Next Book Tour? I've never actually been on a book tour Hence the reason I don't have a tour and signing section on the website. Of course, I've just got back from living in England for a couple years, so book tours may be on the agenda now that we've settled in. I'll let you know if it happens. I know in my contracts with Harpercollins it mentions book tours, we'll just have to wait and see if they want one or not.
I would love to know if you are going on a book tour in Canada or doing a signing. I am hopefully going on vacation the summer and I would definately make a stop to get a book signed. Because I doute you would have a stop in Newfoundland.
I promise I'll post if I ever have a tour coming up, or if I'm going to be somewhere signng books. Trust me, I'll let you know. I'll want you guys there for support so I'm not sitting there by myself twiddling my thumbs.
LOL Don't worry Lynsay, I'm sure we'd keep you more than busy. *Thinks back to a TSID conference where a couple of her friends were talking, one said to the other "If we get into trouble" and signed "If we get arrested"....muhahahaha*
Theresa and G.W. it looks like I might be attending RWA in Dallas in July (my editor wants me to go) and if so, they have a book signing for literacy there. There will be tons of writers there besides me too, so you could meet all your favorites. I'd love to see you.
As for California, well I have friends in Cali and if I ever get around to accepting invitations and visiting, then I'll surely be happy to meet up with you others if you're close enough to say hi and sign books. The only problem is finding the time to do it, but I hope to take some time out after finishing Thomas's story, so we'll see. Although, I here RWA in 2008 is San Francisco, so....
OMG!!!!!!! Get me a day and time and I'll be there with bells on (or at the very least a coin belt if I can get one loaned to me from a belly dancer friend).
But seriously, this is something that I have to start planing for now if I have to take any days off of work.
Theresa, hon, Dallas RWA is booked and paid for, registration, flight and hotel. I'll be signing at the literacy signing RWA has July 11th, as well as a Borders signing July 12th (I think it's the Preston street Borders, but will post when I'm sure) and an Avon open house signing July 13th (I think the literacy signing is for members only, but the Avon one will be for anyone I believe).
this is Dallas TX right? as in i could accually take a train and come to this book signing even on said dates and see the best writer ever ever ever

Must look up Kim Harrison, I think I've got one or two of her books to. I'm so freaking excited I could POP!
*Edit Kim Harrison wrote one of the stories in a multi-author book (Lynsay, is that the def. of an anthology?) "Dates From Hell" which also featured a story by our own wonderful Lynsay!!
Yes, Theresa, anthologies are books with three or four short stories.
Make sure you let me know it's you if you come. Just say Theresa from your forum. That goes for everyone else here. If you're in the area and there, let me know it's you and where I should know you from. It will be nice to put faces to names.
Okay with all the chatter about the book tour I have to ask: Are you coming to the New England area at all? I know Vermont and New Hampshire tend to be more obscure.
Lynsay:
I missed the last time you were in Texas, but will do everything possible to get to Dallas this time. I should be easy to spot. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh about 400 LBS. I have grey hair and a goattee. I should be pushing my wife around, (she's in a wheelchair)
I'm looking forward to meeting you. One question, is this just a book signing or will you & the other authors be answering questions?
Okay, Theresa, I'll watch for the bouncing chick I'm not sure if Mr Spice will be able to come. I'm not going to be the only writer there and Avon is transporting us there from the hotel so don't know if he'd be allowed. I can ask, but I suspect the answer will be no. They can't take everyone's hubby probably and so . . .
I'll ask though.
sRae - It's not really a tour. It's just that while I'm at RWA in Dallas I'll be doing
the RWA Literacy signing (I was reading at RWA that they'd prefer you not bring more than 5 books you already own because they want people to purchase books to support literacy, but you're allowed to bring five)
the Avon open house signing (each writer is only signing half an hour. They tell me that's exactly half an hour, no going over, the promo people will hustle us out, so one book per person please I was told)
And a signing at Borders with some other authors, I'll have to look up the info and post it for all three signings so we know times and stuff (I need to put it in my schedule too)
And then next December Avon is flying me to Vegas for some sort of library reading, talking, signing thing. Not sure exactly what that is, but I know it's in December. GAD!! Hope I don't have to talk, I sooooooo suck at public speaking.
That's it for signings in the next little while.
Don't know if they have anything planned for the three books in a row over three months thing. We'll have to wait and see.
G. W. - I've been to the RWA literacy signing before and the authors seemed to have time to talk to readers, I didn't see any great long lines there or anything. Borders I'm not sure about though, and probably not at the Avon Open house.
Ah well, I can understand that. If he isn't able to come, I'll do my best to get bunch of pictures for ya...not to be a pest or anything, but I think mom and I are going to try to attend the 11th and 12th signings, for SURE the 12th though.
Speaking of RWA, I was working on booking my and my mothers room for while you're there and while trying to find the address for the hotel I was noseing around the RWA webpage.
(Sings "It's a small world after all")
Turns out the address for RWA is on Stuebner Airline Rd Spring, TX. It's 13 miles from my house! LOL I can't believe it.
Well I am bummed there arent any plans to do any book signings in my area.(Clarksville,Tn)I see you did a signing with my main woman....Sherrilyn. Isnt she hilarious? I think you both have put a brillant new spin on the definition of vampire and have made it more fun.I hope you know how wonderful your books truly are.
Thanks guys! you're all great. You know I'll be sure to post if I ever get the chance to tour. I'll need you there to hold my hand. I'm a big wussy shy girl
Lynsay who has to stop now and head back to work on her latest
Hey Lynsay, I remember you wrote on this thread that you might be coming to the RWA at San Fran in 2008 and I was wondering if you were still planning on it. I live in San Jose, which is an hour away so it would be perfect and I would love to meet you........
