New to the Boards......

JUst thought I would introduce myself. My name is Terri and I am from NY (about 20 minutes north of NYC) I have just finished reading all of the Argeneau books in about 8 days which is saying alot. Not only am I not a BIG reader (or I was not till recently anyway) Think of all the work that I blew off during those 8 days. Anyway My Husband is a HUGE MaryJanice fan and got me into her books. So we are in the supermarket one day and I pick up a Bite to Remember and it looked good so I bought it. Loved it SOOO much I went to the web site and found that it was of course the LAST book in a series so I had to visit 5 book stores to get the other 4 books cause who the hell can wait for Amazon to deliver them. Needless to say I loved the rest of the books JUST as much. In addition to having the same name as a character in one of the books, there was also a Dr. Smythe in one of the books which is my madien name, of course I am not a Doctor. Although I do fix computers so I could be a Doctor of Electronics. Anyway aside from living in NY I am 37 and will be married 7 years next week. Not that we really celbrate much anymore since our anniversary is 9/11, but what can you do. I am a computer technician for a movie theater chain, I LOVE taking pictures as is evident by the photo gallery on my web page and I am a computer/internet JUNKIE.

Well I guess that is enought about me.

Once Again LOVED the books Lynsay !

Re: New to the Boards......

^_^ lovely to meet you Mrs. Terri.
I suppose i just felt like saying that you should celebrate your anneversary to the best of your ability. If we couldn't celebrate the great things that have happened to us in our lives simply because on that say something noteibly horrible happened then eventually we would have no days left to celebrate. You, oh course, shouldn't let it pass as if it never happened or it didn't matter but letting them win by making it a day of sadness isn't good either. Prove that not only you but you as a people are strong by rising up and enjoying the love the world still holds and that the world around us hasn't crumbled.
*figits* of course im just a little liberal 17 year old so my words in no way really need to be taken to any degree.
At any rate I hope you enjoy meeting everyone and of course the amazing Lynsay

Re: New to the Boards......

Glad you loved the books Terri. I hope you like the rest of the series as it comes out too.

I think Circe is right. You really should celibrate your anniversary despite 9/11. It is kind of letting them win by not celebrating it. Actually, it's good that you have such a nice thing to celibrate on such a tough date. If it really makes you self-concious to do it that day, do it the day before or the day after, but marriages should be celebrated...well, unless it's a rotten marriage, but it doesn't sound like it is. So celebrate.

P.S. My sister's name is Terri

Re: New to the Boards......

Well we do celebrate somewhat, but Hubby is usually working and he is also a bit of a BAH-HUMBUG when it comes to holidays and celebrations. He has gotten much better in the last year or so, but still not a big one for celebrations. We usually just go out to dinner and maybe a movie, but that is fairly normal anyway.

He is reading the books now on the third one. He LOVES the Vamps, but not really into the romance as much as me.

By the way is your sisters name Terri or is that short for something. Mine is Terri says so on the Birth Certificate people always think it is short for Therasa or something but it is not.

Mom liked Terri

Thanks for the welcome and CAN'T wait for the next book
