I haven't been around much. I haven't had much time to read lately, but for good reason, we're getting the house ready for what we hope will be good news tomorrow.
Tomorrow we will be getting word on wether or not we have been chosen to adopt a 2 year old little boy!
I'll definatly have to make time to read A Quick Bite when it comes out though! Thanks goodness it'll be getting dark earlier by then, maybe I'll be able to get the kids into bed earlier
hope all goes well and you are able to adopt the little boy.
I can't for A quick bite to be release and i am with you on making time to be able to reading it when the book comes out.
We have a son, he should be home for good on November 7th!
We will be visiting him 3 days a week until then.
I feel like I've been dragged through a knothole backwards (we did about 14 hours of driving this weekend!), and to think, less than 72 hours and we're off again!
So far it's been going well, he's responding well to us and Natania adores him. It will deffinatly be an adjustment having a toddler around again! But I'm sure we'll get the hang of it
Glad everything is going well and he will soon have his forever home. How does he like the idea of having an older sister? I am assuming by the way you worded your message that she is older?
Cher
Things are going well with our son so far. We're still doing pre-placement vists.
He seems to be bonding with us well, though he's unsure of what to make of our daughter
He's never been around other kids and my daughter has been waiting for him for so long she just want's to hug and kiss him and he just swats at her I would laugh about it but I think she's kind of hurt by it.
I just keep telling her it's o.k. honey he'll come around and soon you'll be swating him away when he trys to give you kisses
LOL Closer to truth than you know. He'll get used to her soon, it takes a while some times.
Of course, you could try a photo (I know this comes a bit late as he'll be home for good in a few days). When my baby brother was born, he spent most of his time in the hospital so my parents taped a poloride(sp?) to the crib. The result: He knew me better than he knew my parents who went down town to visit him at least 3 times a week, I didn't get to see him til after he was out of NICU (Neo-natle ICU).
