A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

I wanted to ask Lynsay if there is an actual date for the release of "A Quick Bite" - all I can seem to find out is November, is it the beginning or the end of the month?
And also I know this is off-topic and fluffy but was wondering what TV shows you and board members watch?
I live in Australia and just devour English drama and comedy programs, not that we get many, and most of them are several seasons old.
I love Spooks, Afterlife, Hustle, New Tricks etc etc.
And confess to a couple of US shows, like Less Than Perfect, Gilmore Girls and BTVS? Did you ever watch that Lynsay????

Re: A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

The date I have is November 1st, Susan.

TV shows? Hmmm...What is TV? Just kidding, well mostly, but it doesn't seem I've watched much TV in so long...

About the only thing I've watched since being in England is mystery shows, Taggart, A Touch Of Frost, Morrissey, Johnathan Creek...these are all old shows here in England. Then some old old comedies like Allo, Allo and...oh gees, what is that other one? Sigh. Brain like a seive here...can't remember, but I like ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, which is old, but not old old. Father Ted...also old. Gees, all the television I watch here is pretty much old, lol.

Well, except Big Brother, which I did get into and is a totally different show here than in the States or Australia, I saw clips from the one in Australia and it looked interesting. Here it's kind of scary.

I've never heard of BTVS. I have heard of Gilmore Girls and Less Than Perfect. Actually, I never saw Less than Perfect until I got here to England and it's cute. I saw Gilmore Girls once or twice before I left Canada.

I should explain we live in a two story studio apartment in town center here, but since we weren't staying we rented instead of owned, so couldn't put up satelite and cable is nothing like over in Canada. Hmmm....that could be a problem. TV deprived and going to Canada where they have ALL those lovely channels...What a distraction.

Lynsay, you've got BTVS in SWV! (btw - IMHO, BTVS TV sucks, the late 80's (I think) movie virsion is soooo much better.)

I don't watch much TV either. When I do watch it, it's usually real reality TV (Trauma life in the ER, Critical Hour, Cops, ect.), Crossing Jordan I -=LOVE=- CJ...though I'd like to give 'Woddy' a swooft kick in the rump, and Brittish Comidies like Are You Being Served, Monty Python, and have recently discovered Black Adder

Re: A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

AAACCCCKKK!!! Buffy The Vampire Slayer! Holy! Color me stupid, lol. That's what BTVS is. Gees Theresa, thanks for the hint. My only excuse for my stupidity is that it was two A.M. (I think Bravenet is in British Columbia which is on the same time as California and 8 hours behind us here) If you can imagine, I kept writing until almost 4:30. If I was this tired and slow at 2 a.m., I imagine everything I wrote from then on will need A LOT of editing, lol.

Yes, I did watch BTVS, and Angel when they were on.

Re: A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

Thanks for your replies Lynsay,

Was quite surprised to hear you had even heard of Less Than Perfect. Even though I live in Australia I have been an audience member to two of the show’s tapings in LA, one in 2002 and again in 2003. It was great fun. The cast really relate well to one another and the audience (no egos evident on that show!) - its quite an education to see how a comedy is filmed. I had front row seats both times and got to talk to Andrea Parker and Sherri Shepherd which was nice as well.

I am waiting with anticipating for A Quick Bite! My copy is already ordered, so hopefully it won’t take too long after 1 November!

Working two jobs (one full time, one part time) I don’t get a lot of TV time either, but I just love the English programs, even if they are old – like Allo Allo (I saw that on stage quite a few years ago, so funny!) and mysteries like Jonathan Creek.

Re: A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

I'm more surprised that I hadn't seen it until I got here. I think it's a charming show. And it's nice to see a lead actress who doesn't look like twiggy. I like comedies...er...I know that may come as a surprise

Re: A couple of Questions for Lynsay and the Board

Well knock me over with a feather, you like comidies Lynsay?

No problem Lynsay, we all have times like that...look at me, I'm the one who posted a reponce to a thread twice.

Hmmm, I need a smiley face that sticks it's tongue out. In lieu of that, Theresa, I stick my tongue out at you you smarty pants
