I got my ARCS!!

I got the ARCS for A Quick Bite and I'm so excited.

To explain my excitement, I should explain that I have never received ARCS before. Dorchester doesn't send them out to their writers. Happily enough Avon does!!

And soooooo, to start, I've decided to give two signed copies away this month; one here and one at Kelly Armstrong's book club. I just have to come up with an idea for a contest to give them away. Anyone with ideas, feel free to post them. I am in serious need of help here. I've never had ARCs to give away before.

Lynsay the excited.

Re: I got my ARCS!!

That's wonderful Lynsay! Congrats!!!!!

Just anwser me one quck question, what's an ARC in the literary sence?

Re: I got my ARCS!!

Sorry I took so long to answer this Theresa

ARCs are Advanced Reading Copies. They look just like the book will, but have a small yellow band across the bottom that reads "Advance uncorrected proof/Not for sale" And instead of the normal blurb on the back, you'll find a letter from my editor and another box saying "Advance uncorrected Proof"

Actually, I think the paper is better quality than the paper they use in books which is interesting.

Anyway, that's what ARCs are
