Soooo...I have been neglecting the message board horribly, but for good reason. I was working...well, except for a small foray into Katie country.

Anyway, tonight I finished an anthology for Avon. This is not a vamp, but a shapeshifter of all things They said I could do witches, or shapeshifters, or what have you and I had some cute ideas for shapeshifters so jumped in feet first.

Actually, they only asked me to do it a month ago and at the time, I assumed it was for June 1st of next year. Imagine my surprise when I found out at the end of April it was for THIS June 1st. Well, I shifted gears and did the antho and it's done now. YAY!!

Tomorrow I'll give it one last edit, then send it on it's toddling feet to my editor Erika. Hope she likes it.

After that, I'll be shifting back to finishing Vincent's story...until I head to Germany for a Conference, where I'll get to meet the German publishers and sign books and attend my first press conference. EEEEK!!! Hope I don't embarrass myself.

Then it's back to Vincent's story to finish it.

Sooooo, there you have it. a flurry of activity in my otherwise boring writer's life.

Ohhhhhh, and I forgot to mention, lovely little sister came to visit us the first week of May. It was wonderful to see her and we had a great time though we probably drove Dave wild. Imagine having two of me to deal with LOL, because she's very like me in personality in some ways. We went to York, and Whitby (of course Whitby, where Dracula landed in Brahm Stoker's Dracula. Couldn't miss that!!)and various other places. I was sorry to see her go. And not just because it meant I had to go back to work at high gear

That's it from me right now, except I noticed tonight that The Perfect Wife is indeed now listed at Amazon.com. When it was mentioned before I could only find it at amazon.ca and amazon.co.uk, so I'm happy to see it at .com.

Soooo, I hope you're all happy and healthy. I'm off to read what I have of Vincent's story to date so that I can get back into that book.

I don't think I have read anything with shapeshifters before. I do like some witch stuff...with humor of course...Jill Bennett did a book about a witch it was hilarious....I think it was called Bewitched or Bewitching....it's in my closet library(You know my walk in closet that has little space for clothes because of all of my book shelves in it.....LOL ) but I am to lazy to get up and look..LOL. Guess I'll have to read this book so I can figure out what Shapeshifters are

Actually Jackie, I don't think I've read anything with shapeshifters either. Hmmmm. They must be out there or I don't think my editor would have included it in the approved run down. Oh wait! I think CH has them as secondary characters in her Sookie stories. But they only shapshift between dog and man, or wolf and man, guess they're actually were people, never mind. Haven't had my coffee yet.

Anyway, I had fun with it. Imagine if you could make your boobs grow with just a thought? Or shrink.

Check out Mary Janice Davidson and her shapeshifter series. The first two are anthologies in Secrets Volume 6 and Secrets Volume 8. The last one which I read first is Derik's Bane. Hilariously funny series. Loved them. Also Laurell K Hamilton has shapeshifters in her Anita Blake books. Shapeshifter books are out there you just have to look for them. I know there are some more I just can't think of them at the moment. Oh wait forgot one very good read its by Kelley Armstrong. Bitten is the title. It's from her Women of the other world books.

Wow didn't know that thanks for telling me Lynsay. The only other author I can think of then would be the Dark series by Christine Feehan. They live on Blood but also are able to shapeshift into any animal or even down to drops of water. When is your anthology coming out. Can't wait would love to read it. Love reading about were-animals and shapeshifters.

Hey Lynsay, take it from someone who's 23.....21 wasn't all it's cracked up to be. Best thing about being 21? I finnaly had a boyfriend....something that I hadden't had in 20 years, and haven't had for the last two years. :(
