I am looking for a song that starts out with "Met my old lover at a grocery store...and her eyes were open wide...and we laughed until I cried" A) Is that a Hall & Oates song? B) If yes, what is the name of it and where are the lyrics? C) If no, who sang it?
That was a hit song which is truestuff from The Innocent Age a double lp set by Dan Fogelberg in 1980.
It is featured on cd under 'Same Auld Lang Syne'.. going back to his Scottish/American roots. The story goes he was sent out to go pick up some whipping creme and the rest is HIStory!
* I left a little interview Dan had with a Disc-jockey from a longtime ago on my Singers & Songwriters Forum Board. I'm a fan of his stuff too.
Dan is alot younger than Hall & Oates and used to perform with The Eagles before he broke out on his own solo career.
