What I Say (and Merry Christmas)

What I say
to the ignorant
when they ask
“Why aren’t you in school?”
and
“Don’t you need a good education?”

I say:
The public schools
are designed
to suck peoples’ brains out,
and make them dependent on others
(the experts, the Government, Big Brother).

I got A’s in my final exams,
and they gave me
failing grades in my classes ---
because the curriculum is not about “learning,”
but about obedience
and subservience
to those in authority.

I like my brain
and I like freedom,
so I don’t go to public school.

That’s what I say.

PS -
Why spend thirteen years
(or seventeen)
learning how to
Do What You’re Told,
when you can learn *that*
in five easy minutes?

Merry Christmas
to the relatives gathered
and wondering about poor Mike
and asking questions well meant.

(forgive them,
for they know not what they do.)

Good read Mike, thankyou :-)))

Have a GREAT 2006 :-)
