As per GRRM's suggestion

I am here to suggest the characters for the next set.

Tyrion
Daenerys
Bran w/ Summer
Arya
Asha
Ser Barristan
Drogon the Dragon
Dany's 3 Bloodriders

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Excellent.

Check out the other GRRM thread to read my thoughts.

I can tell you that a number of your suggestions will FOR SURE be on the list.

Cheers,

Jim

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Why wasn't Tyrion in the first set?! ^_^

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Thanks Jim. Though I am happy that Eddard will be on there I thought that the focus should be on characters that...*spoiler* (Not that I really think anyone who hadn't read all them would be here, but just in case)

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

I'm very happy to know Tyrion, Daenaerys and Eddard on the list. It'd be great to sculpt dany's miniature with her 3 drakes.

I'd like Ghost the direwolf and Bronn too, as they are the indispensable companions to Jon and Tyrion ( They go nowhere without them and would have lost their lives at many occasions if these efficient bodyguards hadn't backed them up).

I'd like a wildling chief too, as the Night's Watch takes a great place in the first release.

Concerning generic troop miniatures, we need wildlings as adversaries for the Night's Watch brothers.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Gregor Clegane would be a must for the second set

Also:

Hodor and Bran
Khal Drogo
Tywin Lannister
Samwell Tarly

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

1. Tyrion! We want Tyrion!

2. Gregor Clegane
3. Illyn Payne
4. Thoros of Myr (with flaming sword)!
5. Dany
6. Eddard Stark
7. Catelyn Stark
8. Robb Stark
9. Sansa Stark
10. Arya Stark

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

I would love to see Arya and Bran...
I would also love to see Robert Baratheon. I know he is not one of the main charecters, but his miniature would look great.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

How come nobody wants to see Briene?

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

I second the Brienne request! I vote for Sansa, too.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

I absolutely need a Sansa to go along with my Sandor figure!

They're a matched pair... who else will Sandor angst over?! (and vice versa)

I'd also like a Joffrey so he can tower over Jon and make him feel inadequate.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Are you freakin' kidding me?!? How is Arya not included in the first set? Anyway, here's my suggestion for the next set of ten:

1.) Arya with Needle.
2.) Arya without Needle.
3.) Arya as Ghost.
4.) Arya as Ghost with Needle.
5.) Arya as Cat.
6.) Arya as Cat with Needle (it happened briefly!).
7.) Arya.
8.) Arya.
9.) Arya.
10.) Arya.

All I'm saying is, please make sure the coolest character of the series gets at least one mini. Thanks.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

I'd like to see the set like this:

Eddard
Tyrion
Danny
Gregor Clegane
Davos
Brienne- She's bound to be made sooner or later
Arya- To appease the guy above?
Any of the direwolves- Put one per set maybe?
Barristan Selmy- He's awesome.
Beric Dondarrion- Gotta leave more desirable figures for later sets, and he'd be a neat miniature anyway.

Generics are fine, but aside from the night watch, none of them really stand out that much. Perhaps figures like a generic Red Priest or Maester would be nice or the cloaks. But for gaming purposes, I could use other lines for generic knights, warriors, etc. So I hope we can get more uniques or generics unique to the setting.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

1. Eddard Stark-cleaning Ice (make for a great diorama, under a heart tree).

2. Tyrion Lannister-with shadowcat cloak

3. Brienne of Tarth-after the tourney at Bitterbridge

4. Theon Greyjoy-with longbow

5. Arya Stark-with Nymeria

6. Mance Raider-with lute

7.-10. Wildlings-
a. Freefolk archer
b. Freefolk warrior
c. Spearwife
d. Thenn Warrior

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Yes, I am an Arya fan. Do I want to see an Arya mini? Not really. She's just a kid, a kid with a small sword at best.

I think the Five Kings should be part of Round Two

1.The Young Wolf
2.Joffrey the Boy King
3.Stanis
4.Renly
5.The Kraken on the Seastone Throne

If Round Two is to be a ten mini set I would like to see:

6. Tyrion
7. The Mountain that Rides (Trial by Combat version)
8. Eddard Stark (King's Hand version)
9. Stark Guardsmen w/sword (Jory version)
10. Stark Guardsmen w/spear (Fat Tom version)

I'm just happy that Round One is a reality. Hopefully Santa is bringing me the whole set for Christmas...

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

All very interesting suggestions...

George and I were just speaking tonight and we will present everyone the short list of minis for Round 2 and let you all vote for the ones you want most.

Stay tuned....

Cheers,

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Yeah, Arya is just a kid, but she would make for a fantastic rogue mini. And if it's the size you're worried about, are you saying you've never painted a gnome or a dwarf before? Anyway, I'm just saying that Arya is by far the more interesting of the two Stark daughters... I was surprised more people here had suggested Sansa!

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

What I'm talking about with an Arya mini is that the mini would not be that interesting - the character is one of the best in the series - but I don't see an mini of an 8 year old girl in pants with a short and thin sword as being very interesting. There are plenty of villager mini's out there you could glue a sword to and say "Look Arya Stark" or even "Look Arry the Orphan"...

I did not think Sansa should be in Series 2 but she would make a more interesting miniature than Arya simply because I have not seen any mini's of young noble girls in dresses. It would also be interesting compared to the females from Series 1.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

The mini of Arya wouldn't be interesting just as an 8-year-old with a sword. It's the look of determination and (possibly) hatred Tom would depict. He's shown how accomplished he is with facial features (such as the Hound's scarring), so I would love to see his version of Arya, if only for her expression.

I also think Sansa would be a great mini to add a touch of variety. Most of the others are either sword-wielding badasses or buxom seductresses. I'd like to see one relatively innocent yet pretty female. Arya and Sansa are both my favorite characters; my collection just wouldn't be complete without them.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Tyrion (of course)
Victarion Greyjoy (full plate)
Brienne of Tarth
Jon Snow
Robert Baratheon
Littlefinger
Eddard Stark
Bronn
Tywin Lannister
HODOR

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Hi everyone,

As I patiently await the next book and next set of figures (I just rec'd my John Snow and The Hound figures - they're awesome!!)

Here is my top 10 list for consideration:
1. Arya
2. Tyrion
3. Ser Illyn Payne
4. Bronn
5. The Mountain - Gregor Clegane
6. Brienne
7. Thoros of Myr
8. Mance, the king beyond the wall
9. Theon Greyjoy
10. Eddard Stark

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

For the remaining six, I'd like:

1. Gendry
2. Bran Stark
3. Robb Stark
4. Sansa Stark
5. Samwell Tarly
6. Jeor Mormont

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion

Hello there!
I just received the 1st set, I'm so pleased with it.
I don't care what minis you're going to produce for 2nd wave, as long as they're so beautiful.
Although, here's my question: where's Ghost, Jon's meta-wolf? I'd like to make dioramas of all those minis, but I cannot put Jon all alone on a base without his wolf!
Thanks and bye,
D.

Re: As per GRRM's suggestion
