Well folks, we are approaching the 100th miniature milestone at Dark Sword Miniatures and we wanted to ask everyone what they would like to see for the 100th miniature?

A Diorama/Vignette would be nice. Something like Bridge of Sorrows or the complete Avalyne Set or maybe a smaller one like Elmores 'the power and the protector', including the runestone.

An Orc Bartender of course.

As far as i am concerned, i would choose the following:

If it comes from the Elmore's gallery then I would for sure choose the warrior and his "mount" that's in front of the Golden Dragon of Chaos.

If it comes from C. Caldwell then Elsbeth would be my choice, a 54 or a 90mm sized miniature Waouw

From Keith Parkinson, I would choose the dragon in flight or the stage coach or why not dream BOTH from the King's Gold art. Gwellyn's wood would also be great! Or Shandara with his girlfriend!

Talk to Keith, Larry or Clyde. Ask if one of them maybe willing to do a concept sketch for a mini.

Darksword - female warrior, or something like that.

So, my suggestion is basically a one off figure designed by one of your liscenced artists but a piece of art specifically done for Dark Sword.

I can't imagine they have time to bang out an oil painting but maybe one might find time to do you a b&w sketch considering all the great things you have done with their images so far.

Personally, my ideal would be for Keith to design and for Tom to sculpt.

Either that or you should get the Gringe Commander commissioned

Warlord on shield carried over the fallen
Undead rising from the tomb
Blacksmith forging a ring (oops, a piece of jewellery)
etc etc

We cannot do any TSR stuff but all this talk got me really thinking hard about what would make a great capstone piece.

Lots of cool options have been brought up (keep em coming in!) and many more cool ideas are out there.

I'm not sure if you have already decided upon your 100th miniature or not, but if not here's my two cents. A female feline fighter; say that tree times fast. I have seen an earlier picture of Mr. Elmore's depicting a female feline and had the honor of meeting him in Germany where he drew a quick freehand sketch of a female feline pirate character of mine. The drawing was incredible and still on my wall today.

I like the idea of a large scale figure perhaps something involving your Dark Sword logo. If you want to get the people on the mailing list/forums involved perhaps you could get 2 ideas you really like and have a vote?
