the answer is irritable bowel syndrome as this is dd for ectopic pregnacy and has peculiarity of three months symptoms

Q: An 18 year old student due to take her examinations, reports that she missed her period and that a pregnancy test is negative. She has worsening abdominal pain, which has been troublesome for 3 months. She is otherwise well.

Yea, that is what! According to PD irritable bowel syndrome is the answer, and it seems reasonable. The only mystery is missed periods...

According to uptodate, the extraintestinal manifestations of Irritable bowel syndrome are:Extraintestinal symptoms — Patients with IBS often complain of a broad range of non-gastrointestinal symptoms. These include impaired sexual function, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, and increased urinary frequency and urgency [15]. They are also more likely to have hypertension, reactive airway disease, and rheumatologic syndromes, including fibromyalgia.
