After we replaced the engine on Dougal with a Betamarine 37.5 my father-in-law asked if he could have the old one to install in his Waterwitch. Because we had kept the gearbox John Poxon of Tiwana kindly offered his in return for a donation to SeaDog funds.
Father-in-law subsequently changed his mind and went for a new Betamarine engine and gearbox so the 4108 and BW Velvetdrive are now available.
Would prefer to see them go together and would come complete with heat exchangers, water pump, alternator etc etc.
The engine has been declared sound after a partial strip (suggest that the injection pump is tested though as I believed it was leaking) The gearbox was working fine when removed from Tiwana. There seems to be a small out of play on the engine shaft but apparently this did not show until after removal.
Would accept £150 for the lot (to a SeaDog owner)and if they would like to pay more then please make a donation to SOA funds. The parts would need to be collected from the Portsmouth area.
