Hi Thanks to all that replied to my post regarding this antenna. Yesterday I again spent half the day testing and trying to get this antenna to resonate and then gave up. This is the worst commercial antenna that I have come across when looking at both build quality and ease of setup. Dont mind spending that amount of time tweaking a home made antenna but when something is bought commercially I expect it to install with the minimum of effort and only a small amount of adjustment and above all be built professionally. Wish I had never set eyes on the thing. Currently building a 70MHz vertically polarised loop which I should have done in the first place, lesson learnt!

I have tried this aerial (I think made by Moonraker but branded Watson!!) and it resonated ok... but after a couple of months filled up with water... poor joints! Switched to larger Sandpiper ring based vertical which was far better!
