I like how the well-painted muscle tone of the man is accentuated by the use of different colors. All of the phrases in the background are very interesting, especially since some of them are backwards. The man's head seems to be spilling over with ideas as he tries to focus on the book. I have to say that I really enjoy the fact that parts of Angus' house were caught in the picture to each side. It's almost like these portions become part of the painting for me. I'm glad that they weren't edited out. |
