Sacroiliac Injection

I have just been to see the Pain Management Doctor, who has confirmed the Chyro's diagnoses that my problem is in the Sacroiliac joint, and suggested that I have an injection in it. Has anyone else had this, and did it help?

HAZEL

Please refer to my previous posts on the SI joint.

All those injections will do is to temporarily reduce inflammation [ occasionaly permanently if there has been a mechanical injury, but this is rare ].

The doctors are not addressing the CAUSE.

You can call the LTBP guys, as they deal with this quite often.

If you want, drop me a private e-mail and I'll send you more info.

Remember though that steroid injections can lead to joint damage [ through removal of minerals ] if used long term.

Re: Sacroiliac Injection

Thanks for answering Dave. I will definetly study all your posts, before making any decisions about the injection. As I have Rhematoid Arthritis, which I'm sure has caused the imbalances, I can do without any more joint damage.

Hazel.
