Backward Tilt Exercises

Is it okay to do some of the exercises/stretches listed for the Backward Tilt? I don't specifically have this imbalance but I feel so tight in my lower back and even more so in my hamstrings. Previously, I felt relief doing the exercises for the HH and FTP, but not so much since I went to the gym and tried to do some exercises there. That really seemed to have set me back. I feel like I need to know specifically what I can and should not do there.

Re: Backward Tilt Exercises

Jen

True backward tilt is the least common of all the dysfunctions.

I'm not saying you don't have it, but please get it 100% checked with the LTBP guys before doing anything related to it.

When I first started doing back pain exercises, I was certain that I had a Backward Tilted Pelvis.

I was wrong. It was Forward Tilted.

If you get them mixed up, you will make a bad situation a lot worse.

Some people who have mixed them up have ended up with herniated disks as a result.

If you TRULY have a BTP, then I'd suggest you speak to the LTBP guys before doing anything.

Please pay heed to this.
