back pain from 5 precious spinal surgery.
I have had 5 spinal surgeries in the past and still live in pain every hour of my life. The only time I get releif is when the Drs. put me down for other operations or procedures. If you have the answer for me please let me know. As it is very depressing to live like this.

Re: back pain from 5 precious spinal surgery.
The truth of the matter of back pain, is that todays doctors can do some things to help with pain but,, its never enough. i can give my own opinion with out a lot of crap, as i have had 3 surgeries to my low back all ended in total failure , lack of experience for the procedure chosen , now my doctor is under sanctions by medical board for rush to surgery judgements , when in fact (conservative treatments) would have been the better solution , thus a big bank account for doctor, and me well im cripple,, and live on social security disability with that, my life, my back ,my freedom,my health, my cost of living ,my bills ,my wife, my children, have all been problems.. even day to day life sucks for me , nothing more they can do for me back care is not understood enough to do what most doctors will do they dont understand it and the out come is evident in the many failures all up and down the spine , i was crippled at work 18 years ago 1990 and since then I just exist, without function, get used to it and suck up the pain like i have too , it will make ya a bitter bitter man ask my x wife , my kids ,my friends. my buddies all left me home alone ,wouldnt call any more ,dont ask me to go anyplace ,im a shut in even though i can drive a little, i stay home! no place to go no one to see ,nothing to do , bored out of my gourd ,now what ,more of the same for the next 20 or so years , people will say ,ha couldnt be a better lie.. all aspects of life itself are affected .without much education how do you tell them in a way they will finally GET IT that i hurt all over physically, emotionally, mentally, and most important is socially i have no social life at all there fore no security i cant pay all my bills on what i recieve from social security and bill collectors are allways calling thinking i work ? want money weekly, or monthly how do i do that ? i dont go to the dr. so no bill ,i dont go socialize anyplace so no bill there, ive learned to down right EXIST on 125.00 a week nothing fancy but im alive yet,and have a pickup truck liscensed ,insured ,out of gas thats why the bills keep comming in the mail?? im still breathing and thats exactly how a bad back goes thru life in 2008 there aint no cure around the corner they lied to me

Re: back pain from 5 precious spinal surgery.
Tim,
I am sorry to hear that. have you tried everything or have you thrown in the towel? i knew a girl who had 3 back surgeries (2 laminectomies and 1 fusion) who were considered a failure and she got relief eventually and now ballroom dances as well as works full time.
IF you want you can e-mail me.

Re: back pain from 5 precious spinal surgery.
Hi Marvin,
I imagine from all those surgeries you are not only in pain but are quite tight.
I would recommend in this order:
(i have been in excrutiating pain for 4 years in the 80's and from 2004-recently (back lifting weights and hoops)
1) EGOSCUE - without a doubt the biggest difference maker in my life (lasting pain relief)recreated balance in my body which was at the root cause of all my back/hip and leg pain
2) AL MEILUS - robot therapy (2nd largest difference and quickest relief of pain).....
3) LTBP - was the first thing to break up my chronic syndrome
Marvin,
do not give up hope. you may not get to 100% but i bet you can get functional and manage your pain better

Re: back pain from 5 precious spinal surgery.
jay, i can relate to your situation. i have had two past surgeries. i had cervical fusion c5/c6 in 2005
i just had kyphoplasty at t7/8 for a fracture that i never knew i had until this past xmas. i spent the whole xmas holiday on the floor as that was the only place i could be comfortable. since the last surgery, i have had constant pain in the mid and upper back area. i feel like i need to be cracked and that things are not in place. i have been told, that my back is very curved. i am overweight, i sit at a computer all day. i am allergic to pain meds so i can only take tylenol/advil/aleve motrin no narc.i do take a muscle relaxer when needed.
any help out there.
