robot

Hi

I recently purchased the LTBP and have been very happy with the stretches. I have HH, FTP and rounded shoulders and my head comes forward. I've always had neck and shoulder pain, but recently made a slight move sideways and I have been in pain ever since. My lower back, calf muscles, feet and now my neck and shoulders are hurting. It's difficult to sit (I did buy the Back Joy and it has helped tremendously)walk or stand for any length of time. And boy have I been ********** Started going for accupuncture and massages. The LTBP has given me the most relief. I called Al in Florida and spoke with him. I'm hoping to go on July 29th (I've made the appointment...now I've just got to put together the money..YIKES!)I have an appointment tonight with a chiropractor that does the Pettiborn System...so we'll see. But I think Al's robot is the ticket to getting completely pain free. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you
Andrea

Re: robot

Andrea

One member of this forum recently called Al with a problem that he has had for over a year now.

He has been to see over half a dozen specialists to no avail.

Al diagnosed him in less than 90 seconds over the phone.

He found a problem that nobody else was able to.

NASA gave money for the original robot project along with Lockheed Martin [ One of the largest aircraft companies in the world ].

You can imagine that they do not give out money repeatedly to something that does not work.

One of my legs [ the left one ] was sticking out at about 30 degrees when I was walking [ it should be straight ].

I used the robot for 45 minutes on it, and it is now perfectly straight. [ The muscle is called the peroneus by the way ].

Someone I know has spent many many hours of physical therapy trying to get thier feet straight, and they've barely moved a few degrees.

http://www.realbodywork.com/learn/ankle/peroneus.JPG

Good Luck

Drop me an e-mail and I'll send you x-ray photos of the results I obtained with Pettibon for myself and my wife.

Re: robot

Thank you Dave. Al did diagnosis me immediately over the phone. I am very anxious to go see him. I can't imagine what it will be like not to be in pain!! Does the robot hurt???

Were you happy with the Pettiborn Method? My direct email is andreacapone@yahoo.com

Re: robot

Hi Andrea

I have never met anyone quite like Al before.

He already had a great deal of understanding of how the human body moves since he designed robots for General Electric [ G.E. ].

Unlike many muscular/massage therapists, Al has spent a lot of time in cadaver labs and is constantly keeping up to date with new techniques.

I am constantly amazed at how he can diagnose people without even seeing them !!

The key of course is that he has cured over six thousand patients of their pain and is aware of certain key muscles which lead to certain pains.

He has developed a series of test procedures which he uses over the phone to work out what is wrong with you.

The robot is a highly sophisticated device with very sensitive pressure controls.

He will adjust the pressure to suit you, so don't worry about pain.

There is one thing that constantly amazes me; when a muscle is tight and contains lactic acid [ a waste product ], even the slightest pressure can hurt.

When I first was treated after laying in bed for six months, my hamstrings were so tight that I could only lift my leg one and a half inches off the bed [ now I can get the leg up to 90 degrees and and am working on getting it back to 100 degrees - yes it will go that far and more !! ].

My hamstrings were so sensitive that when Al asked me how much pressure was being used, I replied about 150 lbs. He replied "It's two pounds of pressure".

Now I can have my wife put full force on them and not feel anything.

I've been through and researched just about every therapy you could imagine and have found Meilus, LTBP, Pettibon, CHEK and Egoscue the only ones that give consistent results and are based on proper scientific principles.

There is nothing on the planet as fast or as efficient as the robot, and there never will be due to the fact Al has patented everything to the nth degree.

It took him ten years of his own physical pain and effort to develop the robot and it's software.

I'll e-mail you later.

Dave

Hi Fred

Yes, Al would break down the adhesions in your hypertonic overactive muscles and get to the root

Re: robot

I recently went to Al and actually got to meet Dave (he is a walking encyclopedia on back pain, there is not much he doesn't know). I spent two days there and was completely pain free the day I left. I was not able to even swing a golf club going down there and after the first day I went out and hit over 100 balls at the range. After getting back I began to experience pain again, but I also ordered the robot for home. I use it a couple times a week on my trouble areas that Al recommended to center on. Even though I am not always 100% pain free I am about 80% almost all the time and sometimes 100%. I can stand up straight after sitting for a while which was basically impossible before Al's treatment. The lose the back pain system is great and I will continue with the exercises but sometimes you need Al's system since it goes far beyond normal stretching and massage.

Hope my testimony helps you and all I can say is that Al's therapy really helped me.

Re: robot

Hi, Please tell us what the Robot is, how much it costs, and where can a person order one.
Also, is there a website to at least look at one? I am so glad it worked for you. My left foot points towards the left side about 30 degrees or more. I guess it's because I work at home all day on my computer and I used to sit with my left leg under my buttocks, sort of like a half lotus position while my right foot would rest on the floor. Thank you so much!

Breaking News about the Robot...

I spoke to Al last week for more then an hour about the Robot and it potential and we are planning to do a 60 minute, tell-seminar with Al about the Robot and its healing potential on the body, regarding all forms of back pain...

Al, will also wright an in-depth article on the topic so that all may gain a better understanding of the technology...also so that people will know how to find clinics in your area, it going to be big, so do not miss it...

Both will be coming very soon and both will be for everyone...However if you are not on our mailing list you may not hear about it, just letting you know...

Some of our email articles do not make it on the site or on the forum...

Re: robot

Here's a good question Steve. Why wouldn't you (the Healthy Back Institute) buy one/several of these robots & be trained how to use them? Then people could come to you & be treated with guidance from Al.

Just a thought....

Re: robot

If after going to Florida and having Al work with you on the robot and you can't afford to buy the portable robot...isn't it like $2500.00? Is it then worth it to go to Florida for just one session?
paul

Aug 29th, 2008 - 10:28 AM
Re: robot

Andrea-

It is impractical to go for 1 session. What Al does if you fly-in he dedicates 2 full days to you. Whereas if you are a local patient it is 1-2 hours per session.

However, there are many places that have them now in the US who could do a treatment on you.

I have the portable robot and although a great relief is nowhere near as effective as the top of the line machines which can sense muscle tension and adjusts pressure accordingly. I am getting better and better using the portable.

Re: robot

Thank you Paul. Yes, I know he spends 2 days with you. But then what happens when you have to get on a plane and fly for 5 hours? I cannot afford a portable robot, unfortunately. Do you know if he's going to have any treatment centers in the Los Angeles area????

Thank you for your input.

Re: robot

Andrea-

When i get home i will look up to see the closest location.

5 hours is not an issue. I drove 6 hours and no problems....loaded a truck with my furniture and drove 24 hours straight to CT and the pain did not return...Only a little tightness......

Cheers

Re: robot

Hi Andrea

I'm living in Orange county, and just flew to Florida for Al's 2-day treatment. All I can say is the trip was very well-worth. I was able to lift up my hip on LTBP exercise Bridge position after the treatment while I couldn't lift up an inch before.
I was so painful with herniated disc L5/S1; my whole back was so tight that I had to watch out every movement. A twist to the left or right to reach something could cause pain. Even lying on bed, I had to roll myself slowly to find the right position and make sure it was OK. Sometimes it was OK at the beginning, but later a sharp ache came like a lightning.
I took Motrin on the day to Florida, so it was OK for the 5 hours flight. On the way back, I didn't take any and it was fine. The feeling was so great that I thought 90% was cured. It was down to 80% when I came back to work (accounting work which I don't like at all--sitting too much especially after a week of vacation--rushing to meet month-end deadline.)
I still have a bit pain in my left hip ( tight piriformis and gluteau medium I guess) and a bit tingling on my left foot, but it was nothing compare to before treatment. If I live in Florida, one or two treatments would take care of it. That is the disadvantage of out of state patient.
I couldn't afford to buy the robot also, Andrea. So we have to focus on stretching our muscles.
Remember to drink a lot of water on the treatment day. I felt my body absorb water crazily those 2 days, may be to flush the toxic away...

Good luck and take care!

Sarah

Re: robot

Thank you Sarah for your information. I'm glad you are doing better. It sounds good! Like you I sit a lot and I drive hours everyday. I've been doing Pettibon which is really good, but I think the Robot would be so beneficial. Another question, did you go alone? Did you stay in the place Al refers you to...the little bungalows? Thanks so much.

Re: robot

I'm new here, so pardon any lack of info... but I'll be educating myself on Pettibon and Al's robot thanks to this forum.

Don't know what to think of my chiropractor... especially after educating myself with the Chirobase educational site. He seems to only fix me "half way" so I'll have to come in for another visit. Double the money. I walk out still in about the same pain. But his new naive partner will fix me in one visit (at least to where relief will last about a month...) I'm fed up with all this, so I bought the LTBP and am looking into some of the topics here in the forum. It's just sad that it seems "all about the money" and if you're broke, you suffer in pain... maybe that should be in another forum...

Wish me luck.

Re: robot

Hey, I like outdated furniture, and Bungalows... and this is on the Gulf of Mexico? So how close is the ocean to the bungalows? Maybe I can make this into a family vacation so I won't seem like such a bummer of a person in pain (to my family).
Please tell me, where exactly in Florida is this Al and his robot??

And are there any Pettibon practitioners near there too? Can't seem to find any in SC, NC or GA...
Thanks,
Angela

Re: robot

the gulf is probably 50 yds from the bungalow....it is in St. Petersburg, Florida.

I really do not know about pettibone since i have never done it.

besides the bungalows there are a zillion hotels on the water and there are great deals.

Al happens to know this lady who is Lithuanian and he is also.

Re: robot

Hi Andrea

Sorry for late reply! I attend CSU Long Beach, and school starts right after Labor Day. Just like a busy bee, get up early every morning, exercise, go to work, and then school almost every evening... Today I have no school, so here I am to join you guys (should we call this The Pain Club?)

I don't even have time to call Al to thank him and let him know that I feel so energetic even still a bit pain (no need Motrin or any pain medication at all.)

We have the same thought, Andrea. I brought my family with me and tried to think it was a vacation trip (even couldn't afford.) We lived at Best Western; it's cheap also, and because it's the place with very good comments on net. It's only $55.00, but ends up almost $100 because of hidden fees (cleaning room service, TV, ...)I woulnd't recommend it to you at all.

Don't hesitate. Just go. I don't think that there is anyone broker than I, but I decided to go and pay with credit card just because I need my health back so bad. Now I've got my life back, not just health.

I just want to share with you my experience, Andrea.

Take care!

Re: robot

Dave, thank you for being so informative and helpful. Paul too. I also have to sit at a computer, which hurts, and of course standing up, L4 and L5 ... well the inflammation at that point probably shows up on radar. I'm now using one of those big exercise balls as a desk chair, and I have to straddle it funny, but it keeps my spine in a gentle curve that is almost completely pain free, especially upon standing. I don't care if people laugh, it's a notable decrease in pain. (Slave Headquarters wouldn't be laughing so hard if I weren't at my desk at all...)

Could somebody tell me, is it much more beneficial to already be familiar with the whole LTBP process (for educational purposes) BEFORE talking to Al?

(I'm new to LTBP, and am just now getting into the first video).

I stopped by a store the other day that sells inversion tables.. tested one out for about 5 minutes and was absolutely amazed. The pain relief didn't last miraculously long or anything, but I was still amazed that I got ANY relief at all... so I plan on getting a table. But from what I'm reading in this forum, it sounds like Al's robot could be a singular approach that works. (along with implementing LTBP). And perhaps there's no need for this table??

I keep getting the impression that a 2 day visit with Al could get me out of this whole mess, but not sure if I'm clear on this. I'm SO in the habit of being dependent on paying my chiro repeatedly, and getting only short term, minimal or no relief, that I don't know what to think....

I got a good chuckle out of "the pain club" comment, but it got me to thinking about the power of paradigms and ways of thinking. Maybe if we tweek that name a bit and call it "the pain relief club" it'll help us? I'm sure state of mind, along with determination and education... are all important in handling this.

Re: robot

Angela-

Everyone is different. Although Al gets people out of pain you MUST address the situation that started this whole mess before hand. Use Al to buy you time to rebalance. I have lapses but they are much shorter as i address making my muscles longer and more supple.....However, i still get jammed up too.....just not as bad.....

I use whatever works for me....

Chiro DID NOT......MASSAGE DID NOT>.....

LTBP, Al and Egoscue has been my formula.....also i can tell when i gain weight...which i do often....

please keep trying to find your combination
