rabies vaccinations uk
I am looking for information from dog owners who have rabies vaccinated their pets. Last August I had four beautiful Yorkies aged 16, 12, and two at nine years repsectively. Apart from the usual speyeing and one that had to have her knee cap fixed, they were all healthy and well. In August we were planning a move to Spain and had all four rabies vaccinated. I cannot believe what has happened since. Four days after the vaccinations, the twelve year old became reallly ill. Her blood tests revelaed highly elevated levels in some parts and decresed leves in others. We got her well for five weeks, however three weeks latere she collapsed and died. A month later my sixteen year olf became ill. collapsing and shaking. Cushings syndrome was diagnosed, however two weeks ago I had to euthanase her as a large eye tumor was found. Around three months after the vaccinations one of my nine year olds began having strange breathing fits. On sleeping she would suddenly stop breathing and then stretch her neck out to clear her airways, gasping and then collapsing. She is still with us. Around two months ago my other nine year old became ill. Listless, withdrawn and quiet. She closes one of her eyes but neither I nor our vet can see any problem. The vets had now found two lumps in her abdomen. One behind her bladder and one near her liver. I suspect that the rabies vaccinations are at the heart of the matter. There have been too many problems after, where I once had fit and healthy girls. I would like to hear from anyone who has had their pet rabies vaccinated. Whether you have had similar problems or not I would like to collect data and information about the size and ages of dogs that have been vaccinated, whether or not your dogs have had other vaccinations or boosters and of course any accounts of problems that you have encountered.
