I think lifts (elevators) should be designed so people can see that there is a way for air to get in. No animal likes to be trapped in a box and lifts are often designed so that the inside has a smooth finish and looks hermetically sealed. I don't think that "claustrophobics" are the only ones who feel like this - it is a natural instinct, but some are better at overcoming their instinctive fear (however mild) than others. I'd like to know what others think about this. |
