Re: Dancing?

The Rampart casino in Summerlin has a very nice lounge with live music. If you go to this link and click on Addisons lounge you can also see their entertainment schedule.

The Excalibur itself also has a nice lounge with entertainment.

Try also the Artisan hotel right off of Sahara and the strip. Very nice. They have a DJ there...

Hope this helps you out. Congratulations!

Re: Dancing?

I agree with Jen about the Artisan Hotel; very nice.
One of my friends really enjoyed Polly Esters at the Stratosphere too. They have several different clubs each featuring an era; 70's 80's 90's etc. They were very accomadating.
Will you web-cast from the Excalibur?

Hi! We are getting married in November at the Excalibur in the afternoon, and having a small reception afterwards at a home we are renting nearby. Not having a DJ or anything, so we would like to go out dancing afterwards. I will still be in my dress and he in his tux. We'd like to find a lounge of some sort, somewhere not overcrowded, and enough seating for some of our guests to tag along. A DJ or live music would be fine, but where they would happily play a song for us so we can have our first dance as husband and wife....any suggestions?

Re: Re: Dancing?

Thank you both for replying!

Actually I'm trying to stay away from the whole "club" scene. I looked at Polly Esters and it seemed too clubby for what I'm looking for. I also dont want to pay a ridiculous cover charge, nor do I want my guests to have to do the same.

Nope, no webcast! Excalibur does not offer.

Re: Re: Re: Dancing?

I think you should check out the Artisan hotel then. It looks really nice, has music in the lounge with a dance floor and no cover charge. The Golden Steer has similar facilities but I have never been there myself so I can't say for sure if it's any good.Let us know what you decide on or if you find something else you like better; and good luck!
