Message:		TRISMS- Time Related Integrated Studies For Mastering Skills- This is the History Makers 1995 Version. It is unused. It is designed for Middle School with a focus on social studies. It gives an overview of world history beginning with recorded history. TRISMS uses a format of integrated study where all subjects focus on a point in time. As the student progresses chronologically they study Reading, Vocabulary, Language Arts, Science, History and Geography. It emphasizes research skills and develops critical thinking through the studies of historical personalities. TRISMS shows your child a chronological and geographical progression through time: the big picture. I am selling this set for $75.00 This Set Includes: -Teacher's Manual-Soft bound, unused, a bit of shelf wear;it contains: - The Orientation: This section gives and introduction and instructions to TRISMS. It defines how student and teacher will use the curriculum. -Extended Reading List: This section contains additional reading selections that would not fit in the lesson plans. These are broken down by reading level and page number to facilitate in selecting appropriate books for the student. Each list is correlated with the Lesson/ Time period being studied. -Lesson Plans: This is the teacher's guide for the school year. It is set up in a week at a glance format with daily assignments. Lesson plans are from 3000-1500 BC to 1990 AD-(I obtained a supplement of Lesson Plans 1990 to 2000 to go with this set). -Science: science assignments and experiments for the year -Language: Assignments for language throughout the year including poetry section -Poetry/Literature Helps: The poetry section includes the poetry assignments to be studiedin Language assignments. Literature Helps include terms the student will encounter in the Language Assignments. -Worksheet Answer Keys: These are the answers for the worksheets located in the Student Master Pack. -Timelines: Chronicles the science, explorers and Bible events from the beginning until the present; there is also a space age timeline for the last quarter. -Culture Outlines: This section contains outlines on the many cultures that are covered throughout the year; also vocabulary that applies to these cultures. -Test,and Quiz Answer Keys: These are the answer keys for the tests and quizzes located an the Student Master Pack. - The Set Includes: (Master Pack makes as many copies needed to form as many student packs as desired- I bought new a student pack as well which is listed below) -1 Student Master Pack: Provides all master copies along with instructions to make your own Student Pack. -1 Student Pack: Provides copies of all the forms the student will need for the year.(this is the Student Master Pack except all the copies of the Masters are copied for you in the amounts needed for each of the forms). Also, these have all been 3 hole punched. -1 History Makers Answer Key CD ROM- New, Contains Answers for Orientation to Lesson 18 Lesson 19-36, Science Lesson 1-18 and Science Lesson 19-36 and IEW Supplement. **** Please Note- I just wrote to find what difference there is between this version and the new 2008 version. This is what the TRISMS representative said. The 1995 version with the CD Rom I have is basically the 2001 edition,(the CD Rom updating it to that). The new 2008 format is basically that, with the CD Rom converted to print a teacher book and all assignments following each lesson. The lessons are basically the same with just updated reading lists. The 2008 format sells for $195.
