Women are initiated as full Bokons just
as the men in Yeveh Vodoun.
There is absolutely no conflict. It is a common misconception by adherents of Ifa'Orisha to believe that Afa/Ifa is exclusive to the Orishas only.Afa/Ifa (as does other forms of African divination) speaks for all African divinities. Afa has been part of the Yeveh Vodoun tradition for centuries just as it is in the Ifa-Orisha traditions. The Ewe-Fon have their own history of how Afa came to them from their own ancestors.
